  1. This is beta 3 release 1 of ICE.DLL - the LHA-compatible compression library
  2. for Windows programmers.

  4. As with all new software releases you should be aware that as well as fixing
  5. bugs, more bugs could have been introduced. Please keep hold of previous
  6. versions of this software until you have confidence in the new version.

  24. Move the DLL files into the SYSTEM subdirectory of Windows.

  27. Distribution and registration
  28. -----------------------------

  30. The FREEWARE version of ICE is for your own personal use. You may not distribute
  31. the DLL on its own - the FREEWARE package must be distributed intact and at no
  32. cost.

  34. Registration is 10 UK pounds, and allows the registered user to distribute the
  35. DLL with his/her own software without any documentation.

  41. While the current version of ICE is 100% compatible with LHA 2.1x, I am 
  42. considering the inclusion of some non-compatible extensions such as
  43. multi-disk spanning. If you have any comments, suggestions and/or criticisms,
